Our Focus

It’s often said that we’re all just one bad decision away from homelessness. Imagine what your life would look like without a roof over your head. Homelessness and affordable are complicated issues and there’s no simple solution. Robin and I started the Marro Foundation as a social impact fund to educate and advocate for the many causes that are important to us, including the arts, education and cultural organizations, particularly in the areas of food, attainable and affordable housing, homelessness, horticulture and conservation.

Our Founders: Marc & Robin Pollack

Marc S. Pollack

I have been very busy for over four decades in the apartment investment business, but it is not where I started. I worked in social services while in high school, during and after college. In fact, I went on to get a master’s degree in special education as a school teacher before my career in real estate investing.

For the past few years, I have transitioned much of my activities to the non-profit world, with a particular emphasis on affordable housing and homelessness. For me, it has felt like a return to my roots, social services. So, I am happy to be doing my little bit to make the world a better place.

Let us get to work now; we can do it!

Gardening is art to me. Think of it as color, texture and shape.
